This small prop was created as a personal project to practice high-poly to low-poly workflows for a hero asset intended for use in virtual reality. Inspired by Sheng Lam’s retro-futuristic "Phasebook" concept, I aimed to capture a similar aesthetic while keeping the production pipeline efficient and straightforward. Blender for modeling, Substance painter for texturing, and unreal engine for rendering. Both props contained in a single texture map, with a 20.48 texel resolution in a 2048 texture.
